About
Hi. My name is Teri Sachiko Swanberg, but you can call me “Sachi”. Sachiko is my Japanese name that translates into “happy child”, and has been a focal point in much of my work. How do we continue to redefine our futures through healing the wounds of the past? How do we all help our inner children to move from a place of joy and abundance?
I was born and raised in California, but moved to San Francisco in 2005 to get my Bachelors in Philosophy and Religion. Today, I have an office in Lafayette where I see clients in person or by video. Since childhood, I have been seeking an evolving understanding of the question, “what does it mean to be alive?” This has shaped my choices in the steps I have taken towards deepening my practice and discovering my own path the healing.
As a biracial individual, I care deeply for inviting the influences that one's culture, diversity, and lineage impacts their lived experience. I also believe in the power of nurturing and healing both the body and mind in tandem.
Additionally, my previous career endeavors include a background in graphic design and in early childhood development. This has helped to influence my time with clients by creating an environment that invites creative expression and nurturing one's inner child.
I strives to create a warm and safe environment in which individuals can explore themselves, heal from old and new wounds, and develop into the person they want to be by getting in touch with their true self. You can expect me to come from a place of curiosity and care, with an invitation for authenticity and accountability. I have witnessed in my time professionally and personally the body’s connection to wounding, and therefore also offer supportive touch and somatic resourcing to help clients in their transformation and self empowerment.
