How much does therapy cost?
Individual Therapy: $140-$170 per 50 minutes, prorated for longer sessions
Couples Counseling: $110-$180 per 50 minutes/ $165-$270 per 75 minutes
Fees may be adjusted and reviewed periodically. I offer an initial free 15 minutes consultation call to give us the opportunity to see if we should work together. Additionally, I offer limited sliding scale slots. Contact me to learn more.
Do I accept insurance?
I do not work with insurance. However, some clients will work directly with their insurance to get some reimbursement for therapy, which can help with costs. For these cases, I can provide you with a super bill.
What happens if you need to cancel a session, or you miss one?
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means, that if you cancel within the 48 hour window of the time of our session, or you do not cancel at all, I will still charge you your regular fee for the session. If you cancel before the 48 hour window (ex. you tell me the week before during our session, or send me an email 3 days before letting me know) you will not be charged. Additionally, I offer one “freebie” cancellation a year that renews at the start of every calendar year. This is to help accommodate things that come up like illness, unforeseen travel issues, or scheduling confusion.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
As a client, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
