As simple as it may sound, sometimes feeling our feelings can be hard work. Truly understanding and being honest with authentic selves can be challenging, deeply painful, and sometimes scary. No one should have to do this alone. Together, we can listen and nurture your authentic self to help you heal and grow. In accountability, there is the opportunity to shine.
My belief is everything is interconnected. When we hurt in one area of our lives, often times the other areas hurt with it. Many of us have experienced those moments where you say to yourself, “It feels like nothing is going right... I just can’t catch a break!” As we heal our wounds, our lives begin to heal and grow with us. We can invite in more joy and experience life in a new way.
So, what does all this mean? It means, that I believe that the mind and body are deeply connected. Because of this, I work as an Integral Psychotherapist with a relational and somatic approach. When we are able to get our mind and body in alignment, our spirit can move from surviving, to thriving. I utilize techniques to support focus on what your mind and body naturally want to express. In this, I integrate Somatic Experiencing, Gestalt Therapy, and Attachment Theory so you can utilize experiential healing in the here and now to support you in your growth. Additionally, I also offer a form of therapeutic touch called the Tamura Method: Psychoenergetic Touch, which can help heal trauma that may be locked in the body, and support growth in connection and contact. We can use our present to explore the how our past and childhood wounds get us stuck in cycles, and move through these together. I offer an overarching Buddhist influence in working with emotional and physical awareness, by helping you use tools of mindfulness so you can deeply attune to your true self. Together, we are not just talking; we are experiencing. In this, I believe true transformation can happen.
